I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
